It all started when…

In 2009, I quit my job in finance and moved from my hometown of Jacksonville, Florida to Santa Monica. I loved the city but was nearly brought to tears by the quality of BBQ that was being offered. I bought a little smoker and started to make my own, and after a few years, friends would tell me to sell it. In April 2018, I finally worked up the courage to put myself out there and sell BBQ on the street corner. I figured all the “Meat Heads” at Gold’s Gym in Venice would buy my meat, so I set up shop there on their sidewalk on a Saturday afternoon. The BBQ and the name were both a hit, so MeatHead BBQ was born.
